Manhattan DA candidate forum

Please join The New York City Program Council for the first public forum with candidates running for Manhattan District Attorney. This seat is the chief prosecutor for all of New York County (Manhattan) and their office is responsible for prosecution at the state and City level. Candidates will be asked to share their positions on the future of the District Attorney's office.
Topics to be discussed will include alternatives to incarceration, mental health diversion, police accountability, and the role of prosecutors in mass incarceration. This forum comes at a crucial moment as New Yorkers are demanding change to the criminal justice system.
This event is hosted jointly with The New York City Program Council and Columbia Law School's Black Law Student Association.
